Comment
2000 10 p coins have a value of£200.
Assume a 10 p coin is 1 mm thick.
Then Mr Hodges would need to be at least 2000 mm tall (which is 2 metres).
Is he likely to be 2 m tall, and are 10 p coins only 1 mm thick?
Answer
I do not think there are enough coins.
Readers' methods
John Duke, Manchester:
I measured a 10 p coin to be nearly 2 mm thick,
so £200 of 10 p coins is nearly 4 metres tall.
No person is that tall.
