DAY 82

Comment

It is tempting to match 'each apple has 6 pips' to 'A =6P', but is this valid?
Imagine there are 10 apples, say.
Then A = 10 and P = 60.
Which equation do these values agree with?

Answer

P = 6A.

Readers' methods

Aysha K, Willesden:
To calculate the number of pips (P), you multiply the number of apples (A) by 6.
So P is equal to 6 times A.

Nina F, London E17
Suppose there were 2 apples, that would mean there are 12 pips.
The number of pips is always six times bigger than the number of apples.
So, P = 6A
