If all the numbers in a set are increased by the same amount, their average is increased by that amount.
For example, if you add 8 to each number, the average increases by 8.

First, I took the average of 10 hundreds which is 100.
Then I added 7.2 to 100 and got the answer (107.2).

The Average of the first set of numbers was found by simply
adding up all the numbers and dividing by the total number.
The second set of numbers is just 100 added to the first set
so the average will be the first average plus 100 which equals 107.2
